Resolutions to keep your car in great shape all year long

Buerkle Acura Part’s Department

Introducing the Buerkle Acura Parts Department! These guys play an important role here at Buerkle Acura, and keep their department running smoothly. From left to right we have:

Corbin: Corbin was promoted to the Parts Manager back in the Spring and has been a great addition to the team!  Before this, he was over at Buerkle Honda for ten years. A little unknown fact about Corbin is he is a big movie buff, with his favorite being John Carpenter’s “The Thing”.

Tom: Tom has been with Buerkle Acura for almost 25 years! When he isn’t selling parts at Buerkle Acura, he likes to go out and play golf. He even travels to Georgia to watch the Augusta tournament! That’s dedication.

Shawn: Shawn is another employee who has been with us for over two decades (almost 26 years, to be exact)! When he isn’t working at the dealership, he likes to go and enjoy nature in his camper at beautiful Clear Lake.

Tommy: Tommy has been with the Buerkle Acura dealership for 18 years. Tommy says he spends more time here than anywhere else, but when he can sneak away he enjoys reading. His favorite genre’s range from non-fiction to police thrillers; his favorite author is the great John Sanford.

Greg: Greg has been with the parts department for 10 years, and plays a vital role here at Buerkle Acura. When he isn’t at the parts counter, he is cooking up something tasty in his kitchen. Just this week he cooked a phenomenal Pecan Chicken, and his new thing is making different types of bread. If you need a new recipe, Greg is your guy!

And Last but not least, we have Mel! You might have seen Mel driving our delivery truck around town, which he has been doing for the last 12 years! When he isn’t cruising around town, Mel writes music. In fact, he has been writing music for the last 30 years! He started playing music on his bass (and was even in a band!) but can play the drums, keyboard, and more. What a talent!

Labor Day Weekend in Minneapolis

No plans for the Labor Day Weekend yet? Here are some ideas to get you started!

1. Head out to the Great Minnesota Get Together!

This end-of-summer tradition is always held the 12 days leading up to and through Labor Day. Come here and enjoy countless activities; from eating anything and everything on a stick, petting barn yarn animals, or even attend a concert! (I hear Hairball is playing at the Grandstand this Saturday!)

2. Visit the Minnesota Zoo!

Enjoy the day outdoors visiting farm animals and wild animals in their beautiful habitats. Have a picnic, see a movie in IMAX, and so much more! This is a great option for a nice family outing!

3.  Visit the Minnesota Renaissance

So many of us are preoccupied with the State Fair, we forget that the Minnesota Renaissance is going on, too! This weekend’s theme will be “Bold North Adventure”, where they have a Bocce Ball Tournament, Tattoo Competition, Uff Da Hot Dish Eating Contest, and so much more! Dress up or go in jeans, the Renaissance is great fun for the whole family (including your four-legged pup!)

4. Go to the beach!
